شبکه های بی سیم سنسور چیست؟
این خلاصه پیشرفت پروژه، هفته اول، با موضوع شبکه های بی سیم سنسور در محیط های خشن هست. هفته قبل برنامه پروژه مشخص شد. موضوع هفته اول "آشنایی با شبکه های بی سیم سنسور، کاربردها و نحوه به کارگیری" بود. گزارش این هفته:
Wireless Sensor Networks are mainly kind of Wireless Networks containing various Sensor nodes. Definitely these nodes are coming together to do a specific task. Each sensor node includes different devices such as energy device like a battery, communication device like a radio transceiver, controller unit like a microcontroller and obviously sensors. Sensors are used to measure variables like temperature, humidity, pollution, traffic, sound, pressure and etc. In general, we can divide components of a wireless sensor network to three units: 1. Communicating unit as if a transceiver; 2. Control unit such as a processor; 3. and finally the sensing unit.
Wireless Sensor Networks have a variety of applications ranging from a usual home to hardly accessible areas like north or south pole. They can be used for environment monitoring, security, health care, traffic control, forestry, surveillance, smart homes, etc.Some of major concerns about WSN are resource, distortion, lifetime, energy consumption and data rate. Mainly there is a trade off between these parameters. Based on the application it is possible to take some parameters as constraints and the others as objective. For example, if we want to focus on less power consumption we may have to take lifetime as constraint.Sensor nodes can either work in single-hop or multi-hop networks. All information coming from sensors is finally collected by a sink node. The end-user will only then communicate with the sink node. This communication can be done via another network such as satellite, wireless or wired network.
